-ennial

opening reception February 09, 2010

6:00 - 9:00 pm

You are invited to submit a work on the attached form for inclusion in the 2010 –ennial exhibition. The exhibition and accompanying publication will include work by graduate students of the arts from the greater Bay Area, including California College of the Arts, UC Berkeley, Mills College, San Francisco Art Institute.

The goal of the exhibition is to bring together graduate students from the area, and create a yearbook/ directory/ zine publication from works submitted on a standardized form. We realize this form may appear to be slightly limiting in size and media, but keep in mind that it is simply a sample and introduction to your work. You may also submit an image documenting your work.

Submissions will be collected at the opening event, where they will be immediately displayed in the gallery. This opening party will be a wonderful way to get to know local artists from neighboring campuses, so tell your friends and come on out! All the contributed works will be reproduced in zine format, copied in black and white to create a directory/yearbook of the time. We will have a closing event to distribute the publication, whereat each contributor will receive a free copy.

To participate:

-You must submit work on the form  or on a page of the same size and margins, including artist information. Do not put the information on the back; only the front of the page will be reproduced and we will lose your contact information.

-Your original can be in color, but keep in mind that the reproductions will be made on a black and white copy machine.

-Works must be brought to the gallery at the opening event on February 9, 2010 from 7-9 in order to be included in the publication.

-We will provide blank forms at the exhibition opening should you wish to create a work on site.

-Each participant will receive one free copy of the publication at the closing party in mid-March. Additional copies will be available for purchase. Publications must be picked up at the closing event; we will not be able to send them by mail.

We look forward to meeting you and seeing your work!
